Getting targeted traffic to your website is one of the most important (and difficult) parts of internet marketing. You put a great deal of time into traffic generation, so you need to make sure that when you get that valuable visitor to your site you do everything you can to capitalize on their visit.

And this is where 75 percent of people mess up!

For instance, let’s look at how most people approach affiliate marketing. First they get their affiliate link, then they go try to find a way to generate some traffic (which most don’t do right either). Then they send that traffic to their affiliate link. If the traffic is targeted, and the sales page is convincing, they may get some sales. (Most get none or nearly none).

Building relationships and trust is something that has become a key ingredient to being successful with your internet business. Just sending someone to an affiliate offer doesn’t do that.

Putting a proper sales funnel into place solves that problem,
and gives you plenty of additional chances to sell to these same
leads again and again!

The same is true for people selling their own products or products they have rights to. Many of them, especially those just starting out in internet marketing approach it just like the beginning affiliate marketer. Send some traffic to their offer and hope for a sale.

The sales funnel is what will drive both sales and lead generation, and this is something you should be putting into place every time you promote a product online.
